The exposition opens the series of the photo-exhibition about Samara partner cities: Shtuttgart, Stara Zagora, St. Louis, Volgograd, Astrakhan and others.

On May, 23 Slovenia consulate will open in Samara

Slovenia is the only foreign state which comes with consular mission to Samara. The opening the Consulate in Samara is confined to the 15th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Russian Federation and Slovenia. Governor of Samara region Konstantin Titov will take part in the opening ceremony. By this day they expect ambassador of Slovenia in Russian Federation Mr. Andrei Benedeichich and honorary consul of Slovenia in Samara, Mr. Nikolay Ulyanov.

«AutoVAZ» can unit with «GAZ»

After having sold the share portion of «AutoVAZ» to the «Russkie mashiny» holding which owns «Gorkiy automobile plant», Togliatti car plant and «GAZ» can be amalgamated. Such a decision is considered to be politically correct. The state holding is occupied with the tightening supervision over «AutoVAZ». After it owns 75% share and one the share holding will be assigned to a strategic investor. Among the potential buyers are Renault, Porsche and Fiat.

The Centenary of Samara Circus

To please the rich one of the oldest Russian theatre-circus “Olympus” was built in Samara at the beginning of the last century. There will be a lot of surprises made up by Federal Agency of Culture and Russian State Circus devoted to the Samara Circus centenary. Samara circus actors hope that they will be able to set a circus tent in Strukovskiy Garden where the summer circus was placed a century ago. The apotheosis of the celebrations will be a grand show of the world-known circus troupes.

Samara`s basketball club CSK VVS gets a bowl of The Challenge Cup. This Thursday Russian team wins Cyprian team «Keravnos» in return game with score 101:81 in Samara.

The first game was over with score 83:85.According the results of all matches Russian team wins trophy. The best player of CSK VVS is Nikita Shabalkin with his 24 points.
