Art-therapy as help to disabled people

Today there will be held the unique event within the limits of the preparation to the International Day of Disabled People in Samara. The event is quite new for the region. It is a presentation of one of the trends in humanitarian practice – art-therapy. The aim of the presentation is to attract the society attention to the problems of the disabled and to reflect the role of the government in their social adaptation. At the heart of the method they put creative self-expression of a person which helps disabled people get considerable rehabilitation potential and at one and the same time to overcome the existing social stereotype of the creative inaccessibility for the disabled.
