On August 4, 2007 there will be the main event of the summer – Samara carnival. It has become one of the beloved city holiday where thousands of city-dwellers and guests take part. One of the favorite actions of Samara carnival is Carnival costume contest. The main prize is KIA Spectra. As the culmination of the festival will be the “Lyapis Truetskoy” and “Serebro” concerts.

The photo exhibition “Germany. View from the sky” opens at Alabin museum. One can see more than 50 pictures made by Ernst Wandersleb in 1909-1910. Theses age-old photos are not only nostalgic view to bygone Germany but they reflect centuries-old history and culture of All-Europe.

The International rock-festival “Dvizhenie” on Grushinskaya polyana

The International rock-festival “Dvizhenie” takes place on Grushinskaya polyana on July 27.

The most famous artists from all over the world will gather together there. This year the spectators will be delighted by bands from Finland, South Korea, Former Soviet Republics and Russia. Besides in the program of the festival there are football and volleyball events, paintball, sport fishing, entertainment events, competitions, ballooning, bike show, rock concert and KVN (Club of the cheery and the wit), disco, fireworks and laser show.

The Delegation from Germany has arrived to Samara today. The main aim of the visit is the experience interchange in the social sphere within the limits of “Berlin- Moscow -Samara” project. They are going to discuss the realization of social programs and the perspectives in the social field as well as possible joint projects in the sphere.
