AutoVAZ summed up the annual environmental activity contest. During 2007 the expert commission was examining the environmental activity of the plant branches on the whole and their employees in particular. AutoVAZ specialized service of environmental protection has already been working for 20 years.

In 2005 AutoVAZ became one of the first Russian enterprises which ecological management system was certificated according the international standard ISO 14001-2004. The representatives of German “RW-TUV” firm confirmed the correspondence of AutoVAZ environmental protection systems to ecological standard ISO 14001-2004.
