Homeless will be legalized and nailed on charge

In several years we probably will not have to make a long face at the sight of submen in public places. Interior department of the Russian Federation suggested a vagrancy draft law. It might be considered by the State Duma this autumn already.

At the moment there is no place where homeless people can stay. Only 2 social centers are open for them in our region – in Samara and Tolliatti. Statistically about 2900 people are in urgent need for shelter. But Samara social center has 70 beds and hosts only those who have a passport or another identification document.

The next station is “Rossiyskaya”

250 million rub are taken from the region budget in order to finalize the construction of the subway station “Rossiyskaya”. Permanent lack of money results in protracted subway building. According to the design it will connect industrial plants with the center of the city and dormitory suburbs. But today only 8 stations work, and people have to get to work by elevated transport. The first train is expected to get to “Rossiyskaya” in November 2007.
